Peyton Howell

INTERN THERAPIST

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Capella University and hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Prior to my counseling studies, I worked as a behavior technician helping children on the autism spectrum develop social, emotional, and behavioral skills that honored their unique strengths and needs. My training has prepared me to work with individuals across the lifespan, with a strong interest in supporting children and their families.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral and person-centered therapies. When working with children, I incorporate developmentally appropriate, play-based techniques that encourage communication, emotional processing, and effective coping skills, while also partnering closely with caregivers to strengthen connection and empower growth within the family as a whole.

I also support individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions and other challenges. I am committed to providing a warm, nonjudgmental space for meaningful change.

Peyton is supervised by Brandy Rogers, LPC, RPT-S, ACS, CPCS at Bright Path Counseling & Consulting and by licensed supervisors/faculty members of the graduate program.
