Jasmin Copeland

INTERN THERAPIST

I am a graduate student pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mercer University. I am supervised by Brandy Rogers, LPC, RPT at Bright Path Counseling and Consulting and by licensed supervisors/faculty members of the Mercer Family Therapy program. I also earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mercer University. My journey into family therapy was sparked by a deep love for kids and a belief that strong, loving families are the cornerstone of a child’s world. Our early connections shape us in such profound ways, and we are at our healthiest when those connections are also healthy. So, I am all about supporting young children, adolescents, and families, particularly those who are LGBTQ+, people of color (POC), and dealing with parent-child connection challenges, as they navigate life’s twists and turns. My therapeutic style is warm, welcoming, and culturally sensitive – attuning to the beautiful diversity of families and ensuring that every member feels heard and valued. I will often use techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Family Therapy, Attachment-Based Family Therapy and Play Therapy in sessions. From tackling tough behaviors to improving communication, I’m looking forward to supporting your family throughout this journey!
